Matthew A. Gossett
In search of greener pastures, I left my hometown of Cincinnati, Ohio for New York City, where I studied film at the School Of Visual Arts. My concentration was Directing, and though Screenwriting is where I eventually found my niche, the skills I learned as a director afford my scripts a clear visual perspective on the page, an essential quality when attracting talent or enticing a reader.
In 2012, my first feature screenplay, Origin Of A Species, garnered much acclaim when it was named winner of Amazon Studios' Best Script Contest. It has since been adapted into Ar Putam Uz Lupam, a feature film in Latvia, produced by Tasse Film and helmed by award-winning director Janis Nords. It premieres November 2017.
These days, I enjoy life as a working screenwriter living in Los Angeles. Not bad.
