Zoran Amar
Zoran Amar (born June 2, 1954 in Belgrade) is an a Serbian American film director and a professor at the School of Visual Arts.
Zoran Amar, was born as the only child Of Isak Amar, a producer and Vera Amar, a retired film and TV production script supervisor. He has made few feature films, notably Šmeker (1986), starring Žarko Laušević, which is still his most successful film and is considered as a classic in former Yugoslavia especially in Belgrade.
He was one of the founders of the independent TV station RTV Studio B in Belgrade in 1990. In 1991, he moved to New York City where he is teaching at the School of Visual Arts as a professor.
He has one daughter, Sara, born in 1980.
